Aimerce Review (2026): What Aimerce Is, How Durable ID Works, Pros and Cons

Aimerce is a Shopify server-side tracking app built around Klaviyo, and one of the tools in our guide to Aimerce alternatives. Its Durable ID keeps a first-party visitor ID for up to a year, so more returning shoppers stay identifiable for abandonment flows and Meta retargeting. It has a 5.0 rating from 94 Shopify reviews and a 30-day trial, but it starts at $299 a month and publishes no identity graph.

We checked Aimerce's site, pricing, refund policy and Shopify App Store listing on October 24, 2026. Upstack makes a competing product, which this review compares honestly, including where Aimerce does better.

Aimerce review: the verdict

Good fitPoor fit
Shopify brands where Klaviyo flows carry a large share of revenueStores under 1,000 orders a month on a tight budget
Teams that want hands-on, responsive supportBrands that need identity across devices without a login
Stores between 3,000 and 30,000 orders, where Growth is good valueTeams that want a data layer to build their own tags on
Teams that would use an AI analyst agent in SlackAnyone who wants published attribution models and margin reporting

Our take. Aimerce does one job well: it keeps your own visitors identifiable for longer and pushes the extra events into Klaviyo, Meta and Google. Merchant reviews are uniformly strong, and the support is a big part of why. The weaknesses are price for small stores, a published method that rests on a longer-lived first-party ID rather than an identity graph, and revenue claims that are Aimerce's own.

What is Aimerce?

Aimerce describes itself as a server-side tracking and first-party data platform for ecommerce. Its Shopify app, listed as "Aimerce First-Party Pixel," launched on the Shopify App Store on April 19, 2024, and the developer is based in San Francisco. It sells two products:

  • The Aimerce Pixel, its tracking app, priced by orders.
  • Aima, an AI analyst agent that runs in Slack to review ad campaigns and audit Klaviyo, sold in monthly credit packs.

Reviewers on the App Store regularly name the founder, Yiqi, as answering support questions directly, which tells you something about the company's size and its approach to support.

How does Aimerce work?

Durable ID

The core is what Aimerce calls its Durable ID. Per its how it works page, the first-party pixel "captures and enriches all Shopify visitors' data for up to 1 year, beyond Safari's 7-day limit." Aimerce lists three parts to it: tracking extension from 7 days to a year, visitor stitching to identify returning and cross-device users, and server-side tracking to recapture events lost to ad blockers and iOS changes.

Aimerce doesn't publish an identity graph or a matching method beyond that description. In practice, a first-party ID that lasts a year recognizes a returning shopper on the same browser. Recognizing the same shopper on a new device generally needs them to identify themselves, or a graph that links devices.

Klaviyo Revenue Amplifier

This is the feature most merchants buy it for. Aimerce's argument is that since Apple's April 2023 changes, Klaviyo only receives cart, product and checkout signals from shoppers who logged in or identified themselves within the past 7 days. Aimerce says that keeping shoppers identified for longer sends more abandoned-cart and browse events into your flows. It claims "200% more abandoned carts"; that's its own figure.

Meta, Google and other destinations

Aimerce sends server-side events through Conversions APIs. Its Shopify listing names Meta, Google, Klaviyo, OpenAI, TikTok, Pinterest and Omnisend, and its how it works page also lists Attentive, Sendlane, Snapchat, Reddit, Postscript and checkout tools such as Funnelish, Checkout Champ and Lightfunnels. The Meta Conversions API enhancer aims to raise Event Match Quality, and it sets up Google Ads Enhanced Conversions.

Other tracking features

  • Express-checkout click ID relinking, for Shop Pay and similar checkouts where the ad click ID is often lost.
  • New vs returning customer tracking, for optimizing campaigns toward new customers.
  • Health and wellness custom events, for brands whose Meta events are restricted.
  • Subscription handling, removing rebills and adding one-time purchase, subscribe and renewal events.
  • Cross-domain tracking, Meta EMQ monitoring with alerts, and headless support for Hydrogen and custom JavaScript stores on Growth and up.

Aima, the AI agent

Aima runs in Slack. Per the pricing page, it handles threads and mentions, keeps context across your workspace, runs scheduled reports, audits and check-ins, and creates drafts, tickets and docs where supported. It's priced in credit packs on top of a subscription.

Setup: what to expect

Aimerce markets a "20-minute install" on its how it works page and "instant setup, 15 min" on its homepage. Reviews back that up: several describe being set up in minutes or a few hours with help from the team. There's no Google Tag Manager container to build. Headless stores need the Growth plan or above.

As with any server-side tool, the work that matters comes after the install: making sure Aimerce and any existing integration don't both send the same purchase to Meta, and checking events in Meta's Test Events tool before you trust the numbers.

How much does Aimerce cost?

Aimerce is priced by orders: Essential is $299 a month for 1,000 orders, Growth $499 for 10,000 and Enterprise $1,799 for 50,000, with extra orders at $0.10, $0.05 and $0.03. Annual billing saves 20%. There's a 30-day free trial and a money-back guarantee described as "Aimerce pays for itself or you don't pay anything," with the measurement terms not published. Custom events are a $49-a-month add-on on Essential, and Aima credits start at $59 a month.

Aimerce reviews: what Shopify merchants say

On October 24, 2026, Aimerce had a 5.0 rating from 94 reviews on the Shopify App Store: 92 five-star and 2 four-star, with none at three stars or below. That's an unusually clean record for a tracking app. The themes in the most recent reviews:

  • Support. The most common theme by far. Reviewers describe responsive, patient help, often naming staff members or the founder, including answers on a weekend.
  • Klaviyo flows paying for the app. Reviewers say the extra abandonment and browse flow revenue covers the subscription, one of them on two stores.
  • Longer tracking windows. Brands with long buying cycles credit the year-long tracking with better retargeting and abandonment flows.
  • Meta data quality. Reviewers report cleaner data reaching Meta and better ad performance after switching, including one who moved from WeTracked.

Two caveats. With no reviews below four stars, there's little public detail on where it falls short, so ask for references at your volume. And the performance claims in reviews are individual experiences, not controlled tests.

Where Aimerce beats Upstack

Upstack Signal competes with Aimerce directly, so here's where Aimerce is ahead:

  • Trial length. Aimerce gives 30 days free; ours is 21.
  • Klaviyo tooling. Aimerce adds a second sign-up popup and Klaviyo-focused features; Upstack sends events and identity to Klaviyo but doesn't build flows or popups.
  • An AI agent. Aima works in Slack. Upstack doesn't offer an equivalent.
  • Review record. A 5.0 from 94 reviews with nothing below four stars is hard to beat.

Where Upstack fits better: we resolve each visitor against an identity graph of 750M+ devices and 150M+ customers using deterministic and probabilistic matching, so a returning shopper can be recognized on a new device or browser, not only on the browser where the first-party ID lives. Upstack Signal is also cheaper at the same volume, billed monthly: $149 a month for up to 1,000 orders against $299, and $399 for up to 10,000 against $499. Our Upstack vs Aimerce comparison goes row by row.

What Aimerce doesn't do

Knowing the edges helps you decide what else you'd still need:

  • No GA4 destination listed. GA4 isn't on the integrations list on its how it works page or on its Shopify listing. If GA4 accuracy matters, plan for a separate route.
  • No data layer for your own tags. Aimerce sends its own events. Teams that build custom tags in Google Tag Manager on a documented Shopify data layer will want something like Elevar or Littledata underneath.
  • Limited attribution. Attribution analytics, live activities and user journeys start on Growth, and Aimerce doesn't publish which attribution models it uses. There's no media mix modeling or incrementality testing.
  • No published identity graph. Durable ID extends a first-party ID. Aimerce doesn't publish a device graph, so its cross-device claim rests on how it stitches visitors it has already seen.

None of these are flaws in what Aimerce sets out to do. They're the reasons some stores pair it with another tool, or choose a different one.

How to test Aimerce during the trial

Thirty days is enough to see whether it moves your numbers, if you set the test up before you install:

  1. Write down your baseline. Note last month's abandonment and browse flow entries and revenue in Klaviyo, your Meta Event Match Quality for Purchase, and Meta-reported purchases against Shopify orders.
  2. Check for double sending. If Shopify's Facebook & Instagram channel is set to Enhanced or Maximum data sharing, it already sends purchases through the Conversions API. Decide which tool owns server-side purchases so Meta doesn't count an order twice.
  3. Confirm events before you judge them. Use Test Events in Meta Events Manager and Klaviyo's activity feed to see that Aimerce's events arrive with the identifiers you expect.
  4. Compare like with like. Measure flow entries and flow revenue over the same weeks, ideally against the same period last year or a holdout, rather than the dashboard's own estimate of lift.
  5. Decide before day 30. If the trial ends with the guarantee in mind, ask Aimerce in writing how "pays for itself" is measured, since the terms aren't published.

Our guide to Meta event duplication on Shopify covers the checks in step 2.

Is Aimerce worth it?

For a Shopify brand where Klaviyo flows carry a meaningful share of revenue, and that sits between 3,000 and 30,000 orders a month, Aimerce Growth at $499 is reasonable value, and the 30-day trial lets you measure it. Judge it on flow revenue against a holdout or the same period last year, not on the dashboard alone.

For a store under 1,000 orders, $299 is a high floor, and cheaper apps cover the basics. For a brand whose customers move between devices without logging in, test whether a longer-lived first-party ID recovers as many shoppers as identity resolution does. Running two tools side by side for two weeks settles it.

Frequently asked questions

What is Aimerce?

Aimerce is a Shopify app for server-side tracking and first-party data, built around a Durable ID that keeps visitors identifiable for up to a year. It sends events to Klaviyo, Meta, Google and other platforms, and sells an AI analyst agent, Aima, that runs in Slack.

What does Aimerce do?

It captures Shopify events server-side, keeps returning visitors identifiable beyond Safari's 7-day cookie limit, and sends those events to Klaviyo for abandonment flows and to Meta and Google through their Conversions APIs. It also relinks click IDs lost at express checkouts.

Is Aimerce legit?

Yes. It's a San Francisco-based company whose Shopify app launched in April 2024, with a 5.0 rating from 94 App Store reviews when we checked on October 24, 2026. Its revenue-lift numbers are its own, so test them on your store.

How much does Aimerce cost?

Essential is $299 a month for 1,000 orders, Growth $499 for 10,000 and Enterprise $1,799 for 50,000, billed monthly, or 20% less billed annually. See our Aimerce pricing guide.

Does Aimerce have a free trial?

Yes, 30 days, with a money-back guarantee described as "Aimerce pays for itself or you don't pay anything."

Is Aimerce an identity resolution tool?

Partly. Durable ID extends a first-party ID to a year and Aimerce says it stitches cross-device visitors, but it doesn't publish an identity graph. Upstack matches visitors against a graph of 750M+ devices and 150M+ customers.

What are the best Aimerce alternatives?

Upstack Signal for identity resolution, Elevar for a Shopify data layer with a one-year returning-visitor cookie, Littledata for per-order tracking with no GTM, and WeTracked for the lowest paid price. Our Aimerce alternatives guide compares seven.
