Cometly Review (2026): What Cometly Is Now, How It Attributes, Pros and Cons
Cometly is a marketing attribution platform that now sells to B2B SaaS companies. It tracks visitors with a first-party, server-side pixel, ties them to leads in HubSpot or Salesforce and to revenue in Stripe, and sends conversions back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and other ad platforms. It's a strong fit for SaaS teams with a CRM pipeline; for everyone else, our guide to 11 Cometly alternatives covers the options. For online stores it's a harder sell: its Shopify app is listed as unavailable, and its own fact sheet says pure ecommerce teams may do better with Shopify-native tools.
This review is based on Cometly's own pricing page and FAQ, product pages, help center and official AI fact sheet, and on its Trustpilot reviews, all checked on October 24, 2026. Upstack competes with Cometly for online stores, so we've stuck to what Cometly publishes and what its customers say. For the price detail, see our Cometly pricing guide.
Cometly review: the verdict
| Cometly is a good fit if you... | Look elsewhere if you... |
|---|---|
| Sell B2B SaaS and run HubSpot or Salesforce plus Stripe | Run an online store with no CRM pipeline |
| Advertise on LinkedIn and Microsoft as well as Meta and Google | Want to see a price before a sales call |
| Want attribution through to closed-won ARR, MRR and trial-to-paid | Want to try the product on your own data before paying |
| Want AI tools and MCP access grounded in your attribution data | Need marketing mix modeling or incrementality testing |
What is Cometly?
Cometly is a marketing attribution platform. Its homepage describes it as "AI Marketing Attribution For B2B SaaS Companies" that will "tie every ad dollar to closed-won ARR." Its fact sheet lists the company as Comet LLC, doing business as Cometly, founded in 2021 and based in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Its about page lists Grant Cooper and Matt Pattoli as founders.
From Facebook ads to B2B SaaS
Cometly started out serving paid-social advertisers. Its Trustpilot profile, claimed in August 2021, still describes it as "the smart way to track, analyze and scale your Facebook ad campaigns," and many of its reviews come from agencies, info-product sellers and stores.
In 2026 the positioning is different. The pricing page opens with "Usage-based pricing. Built for B2B SaaS," the Shopify App Store page says the app is not currently available, and the fact sheet, last updated May 16, 2026, says pure ecommerce and DTC teams with no CRM "may get more out of Shopify-native attribution tooling." It still lists Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce integrations for businesses that sell both SaaS and products.
If you read an older Cometly review written for Shopify brands, keep that shift in mind.
How does Cometly work?
The pixel and server-side tracking
Cometly's pixel is a one-line, first-party install. The fact sheet says events are processed server-side, so tracking holds up against ad blockers and Safari's tracking prevention, and that cross-domain stitching keeps a journey across a marketing site, docs site and app subdomain as one session.
Attribution models and windows
Cometly documents eight models in its attribution models guide: first touch, last touch, last non-direct touch, source-specific first and last touch, linear, linear paid and U-shaped. Windows run from one day to lifetime. Reports can be cut by channel, campaign, ad, landing page, CRM stage or cohort. For what the model names mean, see our guide to first click vs last click attribution.
Sending conversions to ad platforms
Its pricing FAQ says both plans include unlimited connections to Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft, Reddit and Snapchat, with the server-side Conversion API; its sync page also lists Taboola. Cometly says its Conversion API reaches "a typical match quality of 9.3/10." That's Cometly's own figure, and your result will depend on how much customer data your forms and CRM capture.
CRM, Stripe and customer journeys
This is the core of the B2B product. Touchpoints are stitched to leads when they reach HubSpot or Salesforce and to paying customers when they convert in Stripe, so reports can follow a campaign through MQL, opportunity and closed-won revenue, plus MRR, ARR and trial-to-paid. Customer journeys show every touchpoint at the account and contact level. Booked meetings from Calendly, Chili Piper and Cal.com count as conversions, and calls come in through a CallRail integration.
AI features: Agent, AI Ads Manager, Slack reports and MCP
Cometly has four AI surfaces, per the fact sheet:
- Agent, a plain-English question box over your attribution data.
- AI Ads Manager, one console across ad platforms with suggestions on what to pause, scale or rebalance.
- AI Slack Reports, daily and weekly summaries pushed to Slack.
- An MCP server, included on every plan, so Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can pull your attribution data.
The fact sheet says these run on third-party models from Anthropic and xAI.
What does Cometly integrate with?
Cometly lists 70+ native integrations. The fact sheet groups them:
| Category | Integrations |

| CRM and sales | HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Close, Attio |
| Payments and billing | Stripe, Chargebee |
| Schedulers | Calendly, Chili Piper, Cal.com |
| Ecommerce | Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce |
| Messaging | Slack, Intercom, Drift |
| Data warehouses (Enterprise) | Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift |

Setup: what to expect
Cometly doesn't offer a free trial. Its pricing FAQ says that's "because attribution requires CRM and ad-platform setup to be useful," and offers Professional Onboarding with a dedicated specialist instead. The fact sheet says implementation typically takes days, with live data in the first session, and that connecting each platform typically takes under 30 seconds.
Two caveats from Cometly's own pages. First, attribution starts the day the pixel is installed and your systems are connected; it doesn't backfill data that never existed in your source platforms. Second, its fact sheet lists SOC 2 Type 1 and Type II as in progress, so check its trust center if your security review needs a finished report.
Setup is also the most common complaint in its reviews, which we cover below.
How much does Cometly cost?
Cometly doesn't publish prices. Core and Enterprise are quoted on a 30-minute call, sized to your monthly pageviews, which Cometly estimates at about 1.5 times your sessions. Billing is monthly or annual, with 20% off annual. If you pass 90% of your tier, it notifies you and moves you up a tier at the start of the next billing period. Enterprise adds warehouse sync, the API, a solutions engineer and a success manager.
Our Cometly pricing guide covers what each plan includes, how to estimate your tier and what to ask on the call.
Cometly reviews on Trustpilot: what customers say
Cometly's Trustpilot profile shows 3.8 from 93 reviews: 82% five-star, 3% four-star, 1% three-star, 2% two-star and 12% one-star. Trustpilot notes that Cometly hasn't invited reviews recently and hasn't replied to negative ones, and only 4 reviews arrived in the last 12 months.
That last point matters. Most of the 93 reviews predate the move to B2B SaaS and come from agencies, ad buyers and funnel businesses, so they say more about the support and tracking than about today's SaaS product.
What reviewers praise:
- Hands-on support. Several five-star reviews name individual support staff and describe help through onboarding and troubleshooting.
- Server-side tracking for Meta. Reviewers describe more accurate tracking, and two report big jumps in Meta's event match score after switching. Those are their own results.
- The built-in ads manager and custom reports, which agencies say help them report to clients.
What reviewers criticize:
- A hard setup that changes. A June 2024 one-star review says setup processes kept changing and campaigns stopped tracking.
- Complexity and price. A July 2026 review calls it "another tool with a bunch of complicated options" and says the pricing is too high.
- Support access. One 2024 review says support was hard to reach, against the many that praise it.
Cometly for agencies
Cometly's fact sheet lists performance marketing agencies managing client ad accounts among the teams it's built for, and agencies are well represented in its reviews. Reviewers describe using its custom reports to show clients which ads drove revenue, and one says the reports make their agency look "bigger and feel more premium" to clients.
Two things to check before rolling it out across clients. Pricing is per workspace and sized to each site's pageviews, so ask how multiple client sites are quoted. And because its focus is now B2B SaaS, confirm the integrations your clients use, especially if some run online stores, since the Shopify app is listed as unavailable.
Cometly pros and cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Built for B2B SaaS pipelines, from first touch to closed-won ARR | No published price; quoted on a call |
| Server-side Conversion API to LinkedIn, Microsoft, Reddit and Snapchat, as well as Meta and Google | No free trial |
| Eight attribution models with windows up to lifetime | Shopify app listed as not currently available |
| Native HubSpot, Salesforce and Stripe revenue attribution | No MMM or incrementality product listed |
| AI agent, AI Ads Manager, Slack reports and MCP on every plan | Warehouse sync only on Enterprise |
| Monthly billing available, with 20% off annual | 3.8 on Trustpilot, with few recent reviews |
Is Cometly worth it?
For B2B SaaS: often, yes. If your ads feed a CRM pipeline and Stripe revenue, Cometly does in one tool what many teams stitch together from ad-platform reports, CRM fields and spreadsheets. The questions are price, which you'll only learn on the call, and how it compares with Dreamdata and HockeyStack, the B2B tools Cometly's own fact sheet compares itself with.
For online stores: usually not. You'd be paying for CRM, pipeline and SaaS revenue features you won't use, and Cometly itself says Shopify-native tools may suit you better. Triple Whale, Northbeam and Upstack are built around the order.
Where Cometly beats Upstack
Upstack is our product, so here's where Cometly is the better tool:
- B2B pipelines. Cometly follows leads through HubSpot or Salesforce to Stripe revenue. Upstack doesn't attribute CRM deals or pipeline stages.
- LinkedIn. Cometly sends server-side conversions to LinkedIn. Upstack doesn't send to LinkedIn.
- More models and AI tools. Cometly has eight attribution models and an AI agent and ads manager; Upstack Attribution has three rule-based models.
- Calls and meetings. Cometly takes CallRail calls and booked meetings; Upstack doesn't track calls.
Where Upstack fits better is the online store: Upstack Signal resolves each visitor against an identity graph of 750M+ devices and 150M+ customers before sending events to Meta, Google, TikTok and more, and pricing is published per order and month to month. Attribution is $99 a month for up to 1,000 orders, with a 21-day free trial and a 60-day 4x ROI guarantee.
