Stape Pricing (2026): Plans, What Counts as a Request, Power-Ups and Real Costs
Stape's server-side GTM hosting is free up to 10,000 requests a month. Billed monthly, Pro is $20 for 500,000 requests, Business $100 for 5 million and Enterprise $200 for 20 million; annual billing takes 20% off ($17, $83 and $167 a month). Custom plans are quoted. Each website needs its own container and plan, and building the tags is extra unless your team does it.
This guide sits in our Stape alternatives cluster. We checked every price below on Stape's pricing page, gateway pricing page and Stape Care page on October 24, 2026. Upstack is our product, and it appears only in the comparison sections.
How much does Stape cost?
| Plan | Requests a month | Billed monthly | Billed annually | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10,000 | $0 | $0 | Custom Loader, Requests Analytics, Setup Wizard, global CDN, Anonymizer; no credit card |
| Pro | 500,000 | $20/mo | $17/mo | 3 days of logs, Cookie Keeper (standard cookies), Bot Detection, ad blocker info, Data Store, POAS Data Feed, Enricher, 24/7 email and chat support |
| Business | 5 million | $100/mo | $83/mo | Multi-zone infrastructure, 10 days of logs, Cookie Keeper for custom cookies, up to 20 domains, Monitoring, File Proxy, IP blocking, scheduled and delayed requests |
| Enterprise | 20 million | $200/mo | $167/mo | An account manager, up to 50 domains, log export to S3 or GCS, 2 hours of support calls a month |
| Custom | Unlimited | Quoted | Quoted | Custom DPA and SSA, a BAA for HIPAA, dedicated IP, private cluster, custom log retention, SSO |
Every plan is per container, and one container covers one site. Stape's pricing page shows the annual saving as 20%.
What the first year costs
| Plan | 12 months billed monthly | 12 months billed annually |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $240 | $204 |
| Business | $1,200 | $996 |
| Enterprise | $2,400 | $2,004 |
Those are hosting costs only. If you pay Stape to build the container, its Care service starts at $1,100 for setup or an audit, then $99 to $199 a month for ongoing care (see below).
How does Stape pricing work?
Stape bills by requests, and its pricing FAQ defines them precisely:
- Every incoming hit counts. That includes tracking hits and script loads such as gtm.js, gtag.js and analytics.js.
- Outgoing calls don't. If one incoming event fires tags for GA4, Meta and TikTok, it still counts as one request.
- Testing and non-user traffic count too. Preview and debug sessions can generate extra hits, and bots or crawlers hitting your container's domain are counted.
- One container per site. You can't share a subscription across containers. You can run several containers in one account on the same billing details, each with its own plan.
- Plans can follow your traffic. A toggle in your Stape account upgrades the plan as traffic grows. To downgrade, you contact support.
The pricing page also asks how many GA4 events you send a month and recommends a plan from that. For 3.5 million GA4 events, it recommends Business.
What's included in each Stape plan?
Stape Free
Up to 10,000 requests a month, with a custom domain, the Custom Loader (which renames the gtm.js and gtag.js paths so tracking prevention is less likely to block them), Requests Analytics, the Setup Wizard, a global CDN and the Anonymizer. Support is the community forum. It's enough to test a setup, not to run a store with real traffic.
Stape Pro
$20 a month billed monthly, $17 billed annually, for 500,000 requests. Pro is where the power-ups start: Cookie Keeper to extend first-party cookies against Safari's tracking prevention, Bot Detection, ad blocker detection, the Data Store database, the POAS Data Feed for profit-based bidding, and the Enricher, which merges user data from earlier requests into later events. Support is 24/7 by email and chat, with a help desk response within 3 business days.
Stape Business
$100 a month billed monthly, $83 billed annually, for 5 million requests. It adds multi-zone infrastructure that routes requests to the nearest server zone, Monitoring rules, up to 20 domains on one container, File Proxy, IP blocking, and scheduled or delayed requests. Help desk response is within 2 business days.
Stape Enterprise
$200 a month billed monthly, $167 billed annually, for 20 million requests. It adds an account manager, up to 50 domains, log export to Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage, and 2 hours of support calls a month. Help desk response is within 1 business day.
Stape Custom
Quoted, with unlimited requests. Custom is the plan for a signed BAA for HIPAA, a dedicated IP, a private cluster, single sign-on, and custom legal terms.
Stape's other products and what they cost
Meta Conversions API Gateway. Stape hosts Meta's Conversions API Gateway separately from server GTM. Pay as you go is $10 a month per pixel billed monthly, or $8 billed annually. Unlimited is $100 a month ($83 billed annually) for up to 100 pixels. Both start with a 7-day free trial, per its gateway pricing. The same page lists gateways for TikTok's Events API and Snapchat's Conversions API, plus Stape Gateway and Signals Gateway. Our guide to the Conversions API Gateway explains what a gateway covers and what it doesn't.
Stape Care. If nobody on your team builds GTM containers, Stape sells the work. Setup or an audit starts at $1,100, one-off. Ongoing care is $99 a month on a Pro container, $149 on Business and $199 on Enterprise, or $990, $1,490 and $1,990 a year billed annually, per its Care page. That's on top of the hosting plan.
Apps and plugins. Stape's Shopify app, Stape Conversion Tracking, is free, as are its WordPress, Magento, Wix, BigCommerce and Drupal integrations. Its PrestaShop module and its Salla and Salesforce apps are paid. The Shopify app adds the web GTM snippet, pushes ecommerce events to the data layer, and sends purchase and refund webhooks to your server container.
How many requests will your store use?
Stape bills traffic, not orders, so any estimate needs an assumption. Ours, the same one we use in our Stape vs Elevar comparison: about 50 sessions per order (a 2% conversion rate) and about 8 requests per session from page views, product views, cart events and script loads, or roughly 400 requests per order.
Your ratio may be far higher. A Shopify App Store reviewer in October 2026 said Stape counted about eight times as many requests as their GA4 events. Script loads, preview sessions, bots and any webhooks you send all add up. Stape's advanced calculator works from your own page views and events, so check your numbers there before choosing a plan.
What Stape costs at 1,000, 10,000 and 30,000 orders
| Orders a month | Requests (our assumption) | Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | About 400,000 | Pro | $20/mo | $17/mo |
| 10,000 | About 4 million | Business | $100/mo | $83/mo |
| 30,000 | About 12 million | Enterprise | $200/mo | $167/mo |
Add Stape Care if you want Stape to maintain it: at 10,000 orders, a year of Business billed annually ($996), setup from $1,100 and Care billed annually ($1,490) comes to about $3,600.
Does Stape have a free trial?
There's no trial of the paid hosting plans, but the Free plan covers 10,000 requests a month with no credit card, which is enough to build and test a container. The Meta Conversions API Gateway plans come with a 7-day free trial.
Can you cancel Stape at any time?
You can upgrade from your Stape account, and the pricing page says downgrades go through support. Stape doesn't publish refund terms on its pricing page. One point from its App Store reviews: the Shopify app is free, and the hosting subscription is a separate Stape account plan. Uninstalling the app doesn't cancel the hosting; you cancel it in your Stape account, which Stape has pointed out in replies to reviewers.
What else to budget for
The plan price is rarely the whole bill. Before you pick a plan, account for:
- The build. Someone has to create the web and server tags, triggers and variables in GTM. That's your team's time, an agency's fee, or Stape's setup service from $1,100.
- Upkeep. Theme changes, new apps, consent updates and platform API changes all touch the container. Stape Care covers this for $99 to $199 a month; otherwise it's internal time.
- Extra sites. Each website needs its own container and plan, so three stores on Pro is $60 a month billed monthly, not $20.
- Traffic you didn't plan for. Script loads, preview sessions and bots count as requests. If you outgrow a plan, the account toggle moves you up a tier as traffic grows.
- Gateways per pixel. Stape's Meta Conversions API Gateway is billed per pixel, separately from server GTM hosting.
- Paid apps. Most of Stape's platform apps are free, but its PrestaShop, Salla and Salesforce integrations are paid.
Prices you'll see elsewhere are usually hosting only. Analyzify's pricing page, for example, puts ongoing Stape hosting at about $20 a month for its managed server-side add-on, which matches Stape Pro billed monthly. Comparison pages that quote $17 are using the annual rate.
Is Stape worth the price?
Our take. For a team that already builds and maintains server-side GTM containers, Stape is the cheapest serious way to run server-side tracking at volume. $83 a month billed annually for 5 million requests is hard to beat. The value drops when nobody on your team works in GTM, because the build and upkeep then cost more than the hosting.
| Stape is worth it if you... | Look elsewhere if you... |
|---|---|
| Have someone who builds and maintains GTM containers | Have no GTM skills in-house and no agency |
| Want the lowest monthly running cost at high traffic | Want a predictable cost per order |
| Need custom server-side logic, like profit values or CRM data | Want setup and support included in the price |
| Run several platforms, such as WordPress, Magento or Wix | Want identity resolution across devices built in |
How Stape pricing compares with alternatives
At about 10,000 orders a month (4 million requests on our assumption), checked October 24, 2026:
| Tool | Pricing basis | About 10,000 orders a month | Who builds the tracking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Requests | $100 billed monthly, $83 annually | You or an agency, in GTM | |
| Requests | €145 billed monthly, €127 annually (Ultimate) | You or an agency, in GTM | |
Google Cloud Run | Cloud resources | About $90 for two servers, per Google | You, in GTM and Google Cloud |
| Orders and destinations | $650 (Advanced) | Elevar's app, GTM optional | |
| Orders | About $844 (Scale) | Littledata's app, no GTM | |
| Orders | $399 | Upstack, no GTM | |
| Events | About $600 on our assumption (Growth) | Blotout, on your own domain |
Notes:
- TAGGRS publishes prices in euros and runs on European infrastructure. See our TAGGRS vs Stape comparison.
- Google Cloud Run is Google's own estimate of about $45 a month per server, with two recommended, before the preview server. See our Stape vs Google Cloud comparison.
- Elevar is per its pricing guide; Base and Core send to ad and analytics destinations only.
- Littledata is $199 a month with 1,500 orders, then $0.15 an order to 3,000 and $0.06 above. See our Elevar vs Littledata comparison.
- Upstack Signal is our product: per order, month to month, with setup and support included and a 21-day free trial. It costs more than Stape's hosting alone.
- Blotout prices by events; the figure uses the assumptions in our Blotout vs Elevar comparison.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Stape cost per month?
Stape's server GTM hosting is free up to 10,000 requests. Billed monthly, Pro is $20 for 500,000 requests, Business $100 for 5 million and Enterprise $200 for 20 million. Billed annually they're $17, $83 and $167 a month. Custom plans with unlimited requests are quoted.
Is Stape free?
Stape's Free plan is free forever up to 10,000 requests a month, with no credit card. That's enough to build and test a container, but a store with real traffic needs a paid plan.
What counts as a request on Stape?
Every incoming hit to your server container, including script loads like gtm.js and gtag.js, preview sessions and bot traffic. Outgoing calls don't count, so one event sent on to several platforms is one request.
Does Stape charge per container?
Yes. Each website needs its own container and its own plan. You can run several containers under one account with the same billing details, and Business and Enterprise let one container serve up to 20 or 50 domains.
Is Stape cheaper than Google Cloud?
At low traffic, yes: Stape Pro is $20 a month for 500,000 requests, while Google estimates about $45 a month per Cloud Run server and recommends two. At higher traffic, two Cloud Run servers cost less than Stape Business, but you take on the setup, updates and monitoring yourself.
How much is Stape's Meta CAPI Gateway?
$10 a month per pixel billed monthly, or $8 billed annually, with a 7-day free trial. The Unlimited plan covers up to 100 pixels for $100 a month, or $83 billed annually.
Does Stape offer an annual discount?
Yes. Annual billing takes 20% off the server GTM plans: Pro drops from $20 to $17 a month, Business from $100 to $83 and Enterprise from $200 to $167.
What does Stape Care cost?
Setup or an audit starts at $1,100, one-off. Ongoing care is $99 a month on a Pro container, $149 on Business and $199 on Enterprise, or $990, $1,490 and $1,990 a year billed annually, on top of the hosting plan.
Compare Stape with a per-order alternative
If you're pricing Stape for server-side events to Meta, Google and TikTok and nobody on your team builds GTM containers, see our Upstack vs Stape comparison. It compares the year-one cost of a supported Stape setup with Upstack Signal, priced per order with setup included.
