Converge Review (2026): What Converge Is, How Its Tracking, Attribution and AI Agent Work, Pros and Cons
Converge is one of the most complete DTC measurement platforms we've looked at: server-side tracking that replaces Google Tag Manager, 15 attribution models in its docs, sending to 26 ad platforms plus GA4 and BigQuery, and an AI agent that proposes and executes budget changes. The trade-offs are price visibility and terms: there are no published prices, no published trial, and contracts run on auto-renewing Order Forms.
We checked Converge's site, documentation and terms on October 24, 2026; see our comparison of 7 Converge alternatives if you're still choosing. Converge here means Converge Technologies, the platform at runconverge.com, often searched as "Converge attribution". Upstack is our product and competes with Converge, so we list where Converge is the better choice as plainly as where it isn't.
Converge review: the verdict
| Good fit if you | Look elsewhere if you |
|---|---|
| Want attribution, server-side tracking and an AI media-buying agent from one vendor | Want to see a price before a sales call |
| Send events to many destinations, including affiliate networks, CTV tools, GA4 and BigQuery | Want month-to-month terms rather than an auto-renewing Order Form |
| Run several stores, regions or a headless or custom stack | Need marketing mix modeling or incrementality testing |
| Have a growth team that will review the agent's budget proposals | Want to install from the Shopify App Store and test on your own |
What is Converge?
Converge Technologies, Inc. sells Converge as "the AI-native growth platform for DTC", described on its homepage as agentic media buying powered by attribution and server-side tracking. Its documentation puts the core more simply: an all-in-one marketing measurement platform for ecommerce, built on two products. Destinations sends your tracked events to ad platforms, analytics and email tools. Analytics blends that first-party data with spend and results from your ad platforms.
"Converge" alone is a common word, which is why buyers tend to search "Converge attribution" or "runconverge". The company publishes its own comparison pages against Northbeam, Triple Whale and Elevar, which tells you who it sees as its competition.
How does Converge work?
Data collection and identity
Converge collects events from a web pixel, ecommerce integrations and webhooks, and pulls spend, clicks and conversions from your ad platforms, per its docs. It joins them into unified profiles that follow a customer across the journey. Its conversion tracking page describes deterministic re-identification that chains "every deterministic signal, from first-party data to cookies", with native consent integrations for OneTrust, Cookiebot and Didomi.
The pricing page calls its server-side tracking a "complete Google Tag Manager replacement", with event enrichment, an abandoned flow boost for email, new customer and subscription events, and real-time event logs with integrity alerts.
Server-side destinations
Its integrations page lists 26 ad platform destinations, from Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Reddit and Microsoft Ads to affiliate networks (Awin, CJ, impact.com, Rakuten) and CTV and programmatic tools (Tatari, MNTN, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt). It also sends to Attentive, Customer.io, Klaviyo and Postscript, to GA4 and Segment, and to BigQuery.
Attribution
Converge's attribution docs describe 15 models: Direct; first touch and last touch, each with a paid-only version; linear; top of funnel; participation; J-shaped and inverse J-shaped, each with a paid-only version; U-shaped; and time decay and inverse time decay. Its marketing pages count "11+" or "13+".
You pick a window, a model and a mode. The docs list fixed windows of 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 or 90 days, though the pricing page advertises "infinite attribution windows". Click-time mode credits revenue to the day of the touchpoint, and conversion-time mode to the day of the purchase. In click-time mode, a lookback setting lets you compare recent periods before the full window has passed. All models except Direct skip direct sessions when a non-direct touchpoint exists.
Marketing analytics
The analytics product covers pacing, custom dashboards and metrics, profitability, and landing page, product and cohort analytics, with filters by brand, region or business unit. Conversions and ad spend reach dashboards "within minutes", per its attribution page.
Agentic media buying, Routines and the MCP
This is where Converge goes beyond measurement. Agentic Media Buying runs in Assistant, Copilot or Autopilot mode: it proposes budget changes, you approve or reject them, and it learns from those decisions, per the pricing page. Routines run scheduled reports and monitoring to Slack or email. The MCP server lets you query attribution and analytics data from Claude, ChatGPT or other AI tools.
What does Converge integrate with?
| Type | Integrations listed by Converge |
|---|---|
| Sources | Shopify, a custom stack, Salesforce, Amazon and Magento among its popular sources, plus webhooks |
| Ad platforms | 26 destinations, including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snap, Reddit, Microsoft Ads, X, AppLovin, Criteo, Taboola, Outbrain, OpenAI Ads and The Trade Desk |
| Affiliate and CTV | Awin, CJ, impact.com, Rakuten, Tatari, MNTN |
| Email and SMS | Attentive, Customer.io, Klaviyo, Postscript |
| Analytics and data | GA4, Segment, BigQuery |
Converge counts "40+ integrations" across sources and destinations.
Setup: what to expect
Converge's quickstart promises "customer data infrastructure in hours, not weeks". Most installs connect a storefront and a store backend; custom checkouts, subscriptions and landing page builders are connected separately. You then set up destinations, connect your ad platforms for spend data and, if you want it, the MCP server.
We found no Converge listing on the Shopify App Store on October 24, 2026, so setup runs through Converge's own docs and its team rather than a one-click app install. The pricing page lists dedicated expert support under conversion tracking.
How much does Converge cost?
Converge doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says "Only pay for what you use" and leads every product to a demo, and fees are set on an Order Form. Its terms make fees non-refundable and renew subscriptions automatically unless you give 30 days' written notice before the term ends. No free trial is published. Our Converge pricing guide covers the terms and what to ask on the demo.
Converge reviews: what customers say
There's little independent review data to go on. We found no Shopify App Store listing for Converge, and this review doesn't rely on third-party review sites.
What Converge publishes are its own case studies, which are its claims rather than independent results:
- Hims & Hers: 90%+ of Meta budget changes made through the agent, 10+ hours saved a week and 130%+ ad spend growth.
- Michael Todd Beauty: a 13% increase in ROAS with agentic media buying.
- Proper Cloth: 2x Meta spend at a flat CPA and 2.4x non-brand Google spend.
Its homepage also claims "$2.4B in ad spend optimized". Ask for references at your size and in your category before you sign.

| Native consent integrations for OneTrust, Cookiebot and Didomi | Identity resolution is described as deterministic only |
Where Converge beats Upstack
Upstack is our product, and Converge is its closest competitor in this space. Converge is ahead in these areas:
- The AI agent. Upstack has no equivalent of Agentic Media Buying.
- Destinations. Converge sends to GA4, affiliate networks and CTV platforms that Upstack doesn't. Upstack sends to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, Microsoft Ads and Klaviyo, and to a warehouse, but not to GA4.
- Attribution models. Converge documents 15 models; Upstack offers first-click, last-click and any-click.
- Multi-brand setups. Converge lists unlimited stores and filters by brand, region and business unit.
Upstack fits better if you want a published price per order, month to month, from $99 a month for Attribution or $199 with Signal for up to 1,000 orders, with a 21-day free trial and a 60-day 4x ROI guarantee. Its identity resolution persists for the life of the customer and uses probabilistic as well as deterministic matching, against a graph of 750M+ devices and 150M+ customers. Setup takes under 20 minutes. Upstack doesn't offer MMM or incrementality testing either.
Is Converge worth it?
Converge is worth a demo if you're a DTC brand with a growth team that will use most of what it sells: the agent, many destinations, several stores or regions, and a long list of attribution models. For that buyer, one platform in place of three or four tools is a real gain.
It's harder to justify if you mainly need clean server-side events and a reliable attribution report. In that case, compare a Converge quote with tools that publish prices and offer month-to-month terms, and weigh the renewal terms as well as the price.
