Hyros Review (2026): What Hyros Is, How It Tracks, Pricing, Pros and Cons

Hyros is an ad tracking and attribution platform founded by Alex Becker in 2019, built for direct-response advertisers: info products, coaching, high-ticket offers, call-based sales teams, agencies and ecommerce brands. Its strength is following a buyer from ad click through calls and long funnels, then sending those sales back to ad platforms. Its weak spots are quote-only pricing, auto-renewing contracts and mixed reports about refunds and support.

This review is based on Hyros's own pricing pages, terms, help docs and product pages, and on its Trustpilot reviews, all checked on October 22, 2026. Upstack competes with Hyros for ecommerce brands, so we've stuck to what Hyros publishes and what its customers say. For the full price breakdown see our Hyros pricing guide; for other options, our Hyros alternatives comparison.

What is Hyros?

Hyros is an attribution platform that tracks each sale back to the ad, email or call that drove it, then feeds that data to ad platforms so their algorithms optimize on real sales. Alex Becker founded it in 2019 and runs it as CEO, per Hyros's company page and its own site summary. Its terms list Hyros, Inc. with an Austin, Texas address, and Hyros describes the team as fully remote.

Hyros says it has more than 5,000 clients and has tracked over $5 billion in ad spend. Its homepage asks visitors to pick one of four business models (SaaS and software, ecommerce, B2B calls, and info and education) plus agencies, and its pricing pages say it only takes customers spending at least $5,000 a month on ads.

Was Hyros acquired?

No. In December 2022, Banzai, a video engagement company going public through a SPAC, agreed to buy Hyros for $110 million plus an earn-out, paid mostly in stock. The two companies called the deal off on August 1, 2023, and Banzai's merger went ahead without it, SPACInsider reported. Hyros remains independent, with Alex Becker as CEO.

How does Hyros work?

Here's how Hyros works, from its tracking system to the reports media buyers use every day.

Swarm tracking

Hyros calls its tracking "AI Swarm Data." Per its Swarm page, it combines your first-party live and historic data, third-party signals, patterns from across the Hyros network and a device fingerprint to recognize the same buyer across devices and sessions. In practice, you add Hyros's universal tracking script to your site and connect your checkout, CRM and call tools, and Hyros stitches each sale to its ad clicks.

Attribution models

Hyros's documentation describes last-click, first-click and "Scientific" attribution, which credits the first or last click depending on a time window you set. Hyros says its attribution windows run up to one year, which suits long B2B and high-ticket sales cycles. Reports show lifetime value by first click, lead journeys and call and lead stages.

The Hyros Chrome extension

The Hyros extension puts Hyros's tracking next to each ad platform's own numbers, inside the ads manager you already use. Hyros's docs cover setup for Facebook, Google, TikTok, Bing, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and X. You connect it to your Hyros account, then choose last-click or Scientific attribution and pick which columns to show. A "Deep Mode" breaks results down into sales, leads and products for each ad.

For media buyers, this is where Hyros earns its keep day to day: you compare platform-reported conversions with Hyros's tracked sales for every ad set without leaving your ad accounts.

Sending sales back to ad platforms

Hyros pushes conversions back to Meta, Google and TikTok, and its docs cover Snapchat, Reddit, Bing and LinkedIn conversion setups too. Hyros's own docs warn that switching an ad account to Hyros's conversions resets the platform's learning, and suggest testing it on part of your spend first. If you'd like the background on why server-side conversions matter, see our Meta CAPI and first-party data guide.

Call tracking

This is Hyros's clearest edge. Its call tracking page says it's "built for call-based sales," with integrations for Calendly, CallRail, iClosed and HubSpot. Its docs also cover Acuity, OnceHub, SavvyCal and Ringba, plus Hyros's own number-pool call tracking for the US and Canada. Each booked call and closed deal is tied back to the ad that started the journey.

Hyros AI features

Every plan includes an AI analyst on your account and an MCP connection, which Hyros's docs say lets Claude and ChatGPT answer questions about your campaigns, sales and attribution. Hyros also offers an AI assistant called Sven to help install its tracking. Separately, it sells AIR, an AI remarketing product that recognizes site visitors through Hyros's network and sends them personalized email and SMS, priced per message.

Setup: what to expect

Hyros's pricing FAQ says setup takes about 15 minutes for most businesses, with same-day setup by its implementation team after a 15-minute call. Its docs describe a longer sequence: install the script, connect each integration, then wait for the onboarding team to confirm tracking accuracy before sending conversions to your ad platforms. In a comparison post on its own blog, Hyros puts full setup at days to two weeks.

Plan for the longer number if you run several funnels, a CRM and call tools. Some one-star reviewers describe setups that never fully went live, so agree on a go-live date with your onboarding contact.

How much does Hyros cost?

Hyros has one plan, priced on the revenue it tracks for you, and quotes it on a setup call. Its older pricing page, still live, lists annual-plan rates from $69 a month for up to $5,000 in tracked monthly revenue to $1,499 a month for up to $750,000, with custom pricing above $1M. Contracts auto-renew unless you cancel 30 days before the term ends, and refund requests must be made in writing within 90 days of the first charge. Our Hyros pricing guide covers the tiers, the guarantee and agency pricing in detail.

Hyros reviews on Trustpilot: what customers say

On Trustpilot, Hyros has a TrustScore of 4.9 from 695 reviews: 94% five-star and 4% one-star, or roughly 28 of 695. Its Shopify app had no reviews, and G2 blocked us from checking its live page.

What five-star reviewers praise:

  • Named account managers and hands-on onboarding.
  • Finally knowing which ads make money, rather than trusting the ad platforms' numbers.
  • Seeing the whole customer journey, including calls and multiple touchpoints.

What one-star reviewers criticize (from the 20 one-star reviews on Trustpilot's first page, August 2023 to March 2026):

ThemeReviews mentioning it
Refunds, the guarantee and cancelling10 of 20 (50%)
Slow or scripted support9 of 20 (45%)
Tracking that degraded or stopped working over time8 of 20 (40%)

A 4.9 average and those complaints can both be true: the large majority of reviewers are happy, and the unhappy minority mostly describe trouble leaving or getting a refund. That's why the contract terms above are worth reading before you sign.

Is Hyros worth it?

For info products, coaching, high-ticket offers and anything that closes on a call, Hyros is one of the few tools that tracks the whole path from ad to closed deal, and its price as a share of revenue falls as you grow. For those businesses it's usually worth a quote.

For an online store where the sale closes at checkout, the comparison is different. You're paying for call and lead tracking you won't use, on a quote-only price and an auto-renewing term. Per-order or flat-priced tools usually cover store tracking, server-side conversions and attribution for less. Our Triple Whale vs Hyros comparison and Hyros alternatives guide cover those options.
