Triple Whale vs Hyros (2026): Tracking, Attribution and Pricing Compared
Triple Whale fits Shopify product brands that want attribution, BI and an AI agent in one platform. Hyros fits info products, coaching, high-ticket offers and call-based sales, where following a lead through a booked call matters more than store dashboards. Triple Whale prices on annual GMV with a 12-month term; Hyros prices on the revenue it tracks and quotes on a call.
For this Hyros vs Triple Whale comparison, we checked both tools against their own pricing pages, help docs and review listings on October 22, 2026. If neither fits, our comparison of 9 Triple Whale alternatives covers the wider field.

How do Triple Whale and Hyros track conversions?
Triple Whale uses the Triple Pixel, a JavaScript snippet in your site header that feeds an identity graph built from deterministic and probabilistic matching, per its help center. Server-side sending is handled by Sonar Optimize, which passes enriched events to each ad platform's Conversions API with a deduplication key. Sonar is included in every paid plan; our overview of how Triple Whale works covers each module.
Hyros uses what it calls "Swarm" tracking: first-party live and historic data combined with third-party signals, patterns from the Hyros network, and a device fingerprint meant to recognize buyers across devices and sessions. Hyros pushes conversions back to Meta, Google and TikTok, and its docs cover Bing and LinkedIn offline conversion imports too.
The practical difference is what each tool is listening for. Triple Whale is built around the store: the pixel, the Shopify order, the ad click. Hyros is built around the lead: it tracks booked calls through Calendly, CallRail, iClosed and HubSpot, per its call tracking page, and follows a prospect from ad click to sales call to closed deal. If your sale happens on a phone call, that's the part Triple Whale's plan comparison doesn't cover.
Both are ad tracking and attribution tools that send conversions to ad platforms server-side, which matters more since browser pixels started losing events to ad blockers and iOS privacy limits. If server-side tracking is the main thing you need, see our server-side tracking guide.
Setup and day-to-day use
Triple Whale is self-serve. Its pricing FAQ says most brands are running within 15 minutes, with no engineer: install the app on your Shopify store, add the pixel and connect your ad accounts. Day to day, founders, media buyers and analysts work from a single dashboard, with Moby answering questions in Triple Whale or Slack.
Hyros starts with a call. Its pricing page offers a 15-minute setup call and same-day setup with its setup team. The Shopify integration is a one-click connection inside Hyros, but complex funnels also need Hyros's tracking script on landing pages, order forms and booking pages, plus your call and CRM tools connected. Day to day, it's built for media buyers who need to see which ad produced a booked call and, later, a closed deal.
If you want to try a tool on your own this afternoon, Triple Whale's free plan is the faster start. If your funnel spans several pages and a sales team, Hyros's guided setup is part of what you're paying for.
Attribution models compared
Triple Whale gives you more ways to split credit. Its plan comparison lists seven models, including Triple Attribution, Total Impact (which weights channels using post-purchase survey answers) and Clicks & Deterministic Views (which counts a view only when the ad platform verifies it), with windows of 1, 7, 14 and 28 days plus lifetime.
Hyros documents three: last click, first click and Scientific mode, which credits either the first or the last click depending on a time frame you set. There are no fixed window options; you set a day range for first-ad attribution instead.
Hyros markets itself as AI-powered tracking, and some comparison sites describe it as multi-touch attribution. The AI features we found are its Swarm tracking, an AI analyst and a Claude MCP; the attribution modes its documentation describes are the three above.
Fewer models isn't automatically worse. A business with a long click-to-close cycle often cares most about which ad brought the lead in and which closed the sale, and both tools answer those two questions. If you want to compare survey-weighted and view-based models side by side, Triple Whale does more. Our guide to first click vs last click attribution explains when each kind of model helps.
Triple Whale vs Hyros pricing
Triple Whale prices paid plans on your annual GMV. Its Shopify App Store listing shows Foundation from $219 a month and Automate from $749, Enterprise is quoted, and all paid plans are 12-month subscriptions billed monthly or annually. The full breakdown is in our Triple Whale pricing guide.
Hyros has one plan with everything included, priced on the revenue it tracks for you; our Hyros pricing guide covers it in detail. Its pricing page says you get your exact price on a 15-minute setup call. An older Hyros pricing page, still live, lists annual-plan rates from $69 a month for up to $5,000 in tracked monthly revenue to $1,499 for up to $750,000, and Hyros's terms renew orders automatically unless you cancel 30 days before the term ends. The pricing page also carries a guarantee that your ads grow or you don't pay.
Both prices rise as you sell more, and neither is tied to your ad spend. The difference is visibility: Triple Whale shows an entry price on Shopify, while Hyros only prices on a call. Older comparisons often quote Triple Whale at $129 a month under plan names it no longer lists; that price doesn't appear on its pricing page or Shopify listing today.
Which is more accurate, Triple Whale or Hyros?
Neither publishes an independent accuracy test, so treat accuracy claims from both with care. Triple Whale says its pixel captures 40% more events than standard tracking. Hyros says its Swarm tracking recognizes the same buyer across devices and sessions. Both will report different numbers from Meta Ads Manager, which counts view-through and modeled conversions within its own windows.
The only accurate tracking test that counts is your own:
- Run the tool for two to four weeks alongside your current setup.
- For a store, compare its attributed orders and revenue with Shopify's order export. For a call-based funnel, compare it with closed deals in your CRM.
- Check a sample of individual sales: does the tool show the ad you'd expect from the customer's journey?
The tool whose totals match your source of truth, and whose journeys look right on a spot check, is the more accurate one for your business.
What do reviewers say about each?
Triple Whale has 4.1 stars from 94 reviews on the Shopify App Store. 17 of those 94 (18%) are one-star, and the most common complaints are slow support, difficulty cancelling and bugs. Five-star reviewers praise the all-in-one dashboard, Moby and individual support reps.
Hyros's Shopify app had no reviews when we checked. On Trustpilot it has a TrustScore of 4.9 from 695 reviews, about 4% of them one-star. Those one-star reviews most often concern cancelling and continued billing, onboarding, and refunds. Our Hyros review goes through what users praise and criticize.
Both sets of complaints point at the same risk: check how cancellation works before you sign, and get the terms in writing.
Which should you choose: Triple Whale or Hyros?
| If your business... | Choose |

| Sells physical products on Shopify with short purchase cycles | Triple Whale |
| Closes sales on booked calls or webinars | Hyros |
| Sells courses, coaching or high-ticket offers | Hyros |
| Wants BI dashboards, cohorts and product analysis in the same tool | Triple Whale |
| Wants an AI agent that can act in your ad accounts | Triple Whale (Automate) |
| Needs MMM or incrementality testing | Triple Whale (Enterprise) |
| Wants a published entry price before talking to sales | Triple Whale |
| Has days or weeks between first click and sale | Hyros |
| Wants profit, cohort and product reporting next to attribution | Triple Whale |
When neither is the right fit
Some Shopify brands look at both because they want two things: attribution they trust, and better conversion data reaching Meta. Neither requires a GMV-priced annual contract or a call-based quote.
Upstack Data, our product, covers those two jobs. Upstack Signal sends events to the Conversions APIs server-side with identity resolution, and Upstack Attribution reports first-click, last-click and any-click attribution. Pricing is per order and month to month, from $99 a month for Attribution and $199 for Attribution + Signal. It doesn't do call tracking, MMM or incrementality testing, and it has no AI agent, so it's not a replacement for what Hyros does for call-based funnels or what Moby does on Triple Whale. Our Upstack vs Triple Whale and Upstack vs Hyros comparisons go through the differences line by line, and our Hyros alternatives guide covers tools built for call-based funnels.
Frequently asked questions
Is Hyros better than Triple Whale?
For call-based and high-ticket funnels, Hyros fits better because it tracks leads through booked calls and closed deals. For Shopify product brands, Triple Whale fits better because it has more attribution models, BI tools, a Shopify App Store listing and an AI agent.
Is Hyros cheaper than Triple Whale?
It depends on your revenue. Hyros's older pricing page lists annual-plan rates from $69 a month for up to $5,000 in tracked monthly revenue to $1,499 for up to $750,000, while Triple Whale's Shopify listing shows Foundation from $219 a month. Both rise as you sell more, so compare written quotes for your size.
Does Hyros work with Shopify?
Yes. Hyros connects to Shopify with one click from its dashboard and has a free Shopify App Store app, which had no reviews when we checked. Triple Whale's app has 94 reviews.
Do Triple Whale and Hyros send conversions back to Meta?
Yes. Triple Whale does it through Sonar Optimize, included in paid plans. Hyros pushes conversions back to Meta, Google and TikTok. If you ever run both, make sure only one sends each Purchase event to Meta, or Meta can count sales twice.
Does Triple Whale have a contract?
Yes. Triple Whale's paid plans are 12-month subscriptions, billed monthly or annually. Hyros sets the term in your order, and its terms renew it automatically unless you cancel at least 30 days before it ends.
Can I use Triple Whale and Hyros together?
You can, but you'd be paying twice for overlapping attribution, and both would send conversions to Meta. If you need Hyros for call tracking and Triple Whale for store analytics, decide which tool owns the Meta Conversions API before turning both on.
