8 Littledata Alternatives for Shopify (2026): Server-Side Tracking With and Without GA4 or GTM

The best Littledata alternative depends on what you need it to do. If GA4 is where you report, Elevar and TrackBee send to it too, and Analyzify builds it in Google Tag Manager for you. If Meta and Klaviyo matter more than GA4, Upstack Signal adds identity resolution and is $149 a month for up to 1,000 orders. Aimerce is the Klaviyo-first option, WeTracked the cheapest paid app, and Stape the low-cost route if you have GTM skills.

We checked every price, plan, trial and feature claim for these Littledata alternatives on each vendor's own site or Shopify App Store listing on October 24, 2026. Upstack Signal is our product and sits first in its group, with its limitations listed as plainly as everyone else's. It doesn't send to GA4, so if that's your main reason for running Littledata, read the section on when to stay.

What Littledata does, and what it costs

Littledata calls itself the data layer for Shopify. Per its Shopify App Store listing, where it's titled "Littledata ‑ The Data Layer", it captures each store event once and sends it server-side to GA4, Google Ads, Meta, Klaviyo, TikTok, Pinterest and the other destinations on its list, without Google Tag Manager or a developer. The company started in London in 2015 as an analytics consultancy, launched its first Shopify app in 2017 and added server-side GA4 and Meta destinations in 2022 and Klaviyo in 2024, per its about page. It says 2,000+ Shopify brands use it.

Per the plans page and the App Store listing, checked October 24, 2026:

PlanBilled monthlyBilled annuallyOrders includedEach extra order
Flex$0.35/order, no minimum$0.35/orderNone$0.35
Scale$199/mo$159/mo1,500$0.15 to 3,000, then $0.06
Plus$990/mo$792/mo ($9,504/yr)10,000$0.03 to 50,000, then $0.02

Every plan includes all 9 standard destinations: GA4, Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, Klaviyo, Attentive and Recharge. Scale adds Session Enrichment, Persistent ID, a Segment destination and headless support. Every plan has a 30-day free trial, capped at 500 orders on Flex, 10,000 on Scale and 20,000 on Plus. Our Littledata pricing guide works through the costs at each volume, and our Littledata review covers how it works and what merchants say.

Why do people look for Littledata alternatives?

Littledata holds 4.8 stars from 147 App Store reviews, so this isn't a list of complaints about a weak product. The reasons that come up are about fit and price:

  • Price steps. Flex costs more than Scale above about 570 orders a month, and Scale's overage takes 5,000 orders to $544 a month. A long-time reviewer in 2022 said the bill more than doubled when their order count crossed a threshold.
  • Identity on the paid plans only. Session Enrichment and Persistent ID start on the $199 Scale plan, and Persistent ID recognizes a returning shopper on the same device for up to a year. A shopper who switches device without logging in isn't covered.
  • A fixed destination list. Nine destinations, plus Segment from Scale. Snapchat, Reddit, X, affiliate networks and data warehouses aren't on it.
  • Google Ads gets purchases. In July 2026, Littledata replied to a reviewer that its direct Google Ads integration is designed to send purchase conversions. Brands that want add-to-cart or checkout events in Google Ads look elsewhere.
  • No reporting of its own. Littledata sends data; you read the results in GA4 and your ad platforms. Brands that want attribution reports or margin views need a second tool.

How we compared these tools

Each tool was checked on the same questions: what you pay for and the lowest published price; whether it sends to GA4, Meta, Google Ads and Klaviyo; whether you maintain a Google Tag Manager container; how it recognizes a returning visitor; whether you can try it first; and who should skip it. Everything comes from vendor pricing pages, product pages, help docs and Shopify App Store listings, checked on October 24, 2026. We left out review-site ratings we didn't check.

Littledata alternatives that install as Shopify apps

These five are Shopify apps with no Google Tag Manager to maintain, the closest like-for-like swaps.

1. Upstack Signal: identity resolution for Meta, Google Ads and Klaviyo

Upstack is our product, so read this section knowing that.

Our take. Signal does Littledata's ad-platform and Klaviyo jobs without a GTM container, and adds identity resolution before each event leaves: visitors are resolved against our identity graph of 750M+ devices and 150M+ customers using deterministic and probabilistic matching. It doesn't send to GA4. If GA4 accuracy is why you bought Littledata, keep Littledata for that.

Skip it if GA4 is your main reporting tool. Our Upstack vs Littledata comparison covers the trade-off row by row, and many brands run both.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Shopify and DTC brands whose spend is on Meta and Google Ads and whose flows run in Klaviyo, and who want identity that survives a device switch.
How it works
Upstack Signal collects events first-party and sends them server-side, with no GTM containers. An Upstack ID persists for the life of the customer. Destinations include Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Reddit, Microsoft Ads, Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript and Omnisend. Setup takes under 20 minutes.
Pricing (October 2026)
Per order and month to month: $149 a month to 1,000 orders, $249 to 3,000, $399 to 10,000, $699 to 15,000, $1,199 to 30,000 and $1,599 to 50,000, then quoted. 21-day free trial with no credit card, and a 60-day 4x ROI guarantee. Every band is on our pricing page.
Strengths
Cross-device identity, every supported destination on every band, and a lower monthly price than Littledata at 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 30,000 orders.
Limitations
No GA4 destination, no free plan and no data layer for building your own tags. Our trial is 21 days to Littledata's 30. Published bands stop at 50,000 orders.

2. Elevar: a Shopify data layer with the most destinations

Our take. Elevar, now sold under the Audiense brand, is the closest product to Littledata: a Shopify data layer that sends server-side to GA4, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo and dozens of other tools, with or without Google Tag Manager. It lists far more destinations than Littledata, but caps how many each plan can use.

Skip it if you send to GA4, Meta, Google Ads and Klaviyo at under 6,800 orders a month; Littledata Scale is cheaper there. See our Elevar vs Littledata comparison and Elevar pricing guide.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Teams that need destinations Littledata doesn't list, or want to build custom events in GTM.
How it works
Elevar's data layer captures store events and feeds Shopify's Web Pixel and server-side tracking, through GTM or a GTM-less setup. Session Enrichment uses a one-year server-set cookie to recognize returning visitors, on every plan.
Pricing (October 2026)
Per the Audiense Online pricing page, Base is free to 100 orders, Core $225 a month for 2,000 orders, Advanced $650 for 10,000, Premium $1,250 for 30,000 and Elite from $3,000 for 75,000. Base and Core allow 2 advertising or analytics destinations; Klaviyo and other email destinations start on Advanced, and extra destinations cost $125 a month each from Advanced up. Paid plans have a 15-day trial.
Strengths
50+ destinations, including affiliate networks and BigQuery; returning-visitor recognition on the free plan; 4.8 stars from 170 App Store reviews.
Limitations
Klaviyo costs at least $650 a month. Expert installation is a $1,000 one-off. Destination caps by plan.

Source: Audiense Online pricing page, checked October 2026.

3. Aimerce: Klaviyo identity for returning visitors

Our take. Aimerce is built around Klaviyo. Its Durable ID keeps a first-party ID on the shopper's browser for up to a year, and its pitch is more abandonment flows sent. It doesn't list GA4, so it's an alternative for the Klaviyo half of Littledata's job, not the GA4 half.

Skip it if GA4 matters to you. See our Aimerce alternatives guide and Upstack vs Aimerce.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Brands whose main reason for Littledata was more Klaviyo flow entries.
How it works
Per its how it works page, a first-party pixel with Durable ID, server-side events and integrations with Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Attentive, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit.
Pricing (October 2026)
Per its pricing page, billed monthly: Essential $299 for 1,000 orders plus $0.10 an order, Growth $499 for 10,000 plus $0.05, Enterprise $1,799 for 50,000 plus $0.03. Annual billing saves 20%. 30-day free trial.
Strengths
Klaviyo tooling, an AI analyst in Slack, and 5.0 stars from 94 App Store reviews.
Limitations
No GA4 destination listed, and the entry price is $299 whatever your volume.

Source: Aimerce pricing page, checked October 2026.

4. TrackBee: GA4, Klaviyo and 8 ad platforms on every plan

Our take. TrackBee is the closest match to Littledata's "every destination on every plan" model, and it adds Snapchat, ChatGPT Ads and Whop Ads. It prices on the revenue it tracks rather than orders, so it suits low order values better than high ones.

Skip it if your average order is high; per-order pricing will be cheaper. See TrackBee vs WeTracked.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Shopify brands with a modest average order value that want GA4, Klaviyo and many ad platforms on one plan.
How it works
Server-side events from the store, enriched with first-party session data, per its pricing page. Its integrations page lists 19 integrations on every plan, including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft Ads, Klaviyo and GA4.
Pricing (October 2026)
Start is $79 a month for $25K tracked revenue, then $6 per extra $1K. Pro is $199 for $100K, then $1 per $1K. Scale is $449 for $500K, then $0.75 per $1K. 30-day free trial with no card.
Strengths
GA4 and Klaviyo on the entry plan, and several stores per plan.
Limitations
Revenue-based pricing climbs with your order value. 4.8 stars from only 8 App Store reviews.

Source: TrackBee pricing page, checked October 2026.

5. WeTracked: low-cost tracking for small and multi-store sellers

Our take. WeTracked is the cheapest paid app here: $49 a month for 500 orders across up to 3 stores. It's built for ad platforms and doesn't list GA4.

Skip it if you report in GA4. See Upstack vs WeTracked.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Small and multi-store sellers running Meta, Google and TikTok ads.
How it works
Per its features page, it builds what it calls a cookie-proof digital fingerprint, stitches sessions server-side and lets you filter which orders each ad platform sees. Its integrations page lists Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, X, Taboola and Klaviyo.
Pricing (October 2026)
Per its pricing page, billed monthly: Starter $49 for 500 orders and 3 stores, Business $149 for 3,000 orders and 5 stores, Scale-up $249 for 7,500 orders and 10 stores, and a quoted Enterprise plan above that. Annual billing saves 20%. 14-day trial and a 60-day money-back guarantee if ROAS doesn't rise 20%.
Strengths
The lowest paid entry price and several stores on every plan.
Limitations
No GA4 destination, published prices stop at 7,500 orders, and the fingerprinting method needs checking against your consent setup.

Littledata alternatives that keep Google Tag Manager

These two suit teams that want a GTM setup they can extend, the opposite of Littledata's no-GTM model.

6. Analyzify: GTM set up and maintained for you

Our take. Analyzify builds Google Tag Manager for you, with pre-built containers for Shopify and GA4, and prices by order band. If you left Littledata because you want more control than its Event Editor gives, this is the managed way to get it.

Skip it if you chose Littledata to avoid GTM.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Shopify brands that want GTM, GA4 and ad-platform tags without building them.
How it works
A unified pixel for 10+ platforms, server-side tracking, pre-built GTM containers, purchase attribution, and refund and COGS tracking, per its pricing page.
Pricing (October 2026)
Standard is $145 a month billed monthly, or $109 a month billed yearly, up to 5,000 orders, and $175 ($131 yearly) up to 10,000. Plus is $275 a month billed monthly, or $206 yearly, up to 50,000 orders. Implementation is free on yearly plans and $295 on monthly plans. Managed server-side GTM is a $1,490 add-on.
Strengths
A fixed price by order band, GTM containers you own, and the build done for you.
Limitations
No traditional free trial, the lowest price needs a yearly plan, and server-side GTM costs extra.

Source: Analyzify pricing page, checked October 2026.

7. Stape: server-side GTM hosting, priced by requests

Our take. Stape hosts server-side Google Tag Manager containers, and you or an agency build the tags. With that skill in-house, it's the cheapest way to run server-side tracking at volume, including GA4.

Skip it if nobody on your team works in GTM. See Upstack vs Stape.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Teams with GTM skills that want server-side tracking on infrastructure they control.
How it works
You run a server GTM container on Stape's hosting and send events from it to GA4, Meta, Google Ads and anything else you build a tag for.
Pricing (October 2026)
Per its pricing page, Free covers 10,000 requests a month. Pro is $20 a month billed monthly, or $17 billed annually, for 500,000 requests. Business is $100 ($83 annually) for 5 million and Enterprise $200 ($167) for 20 million.
Strengths
The lowest running cost at volume and a free plan to test with.
Limitations
You build and maintain the tags, and requests aren't orders, so the bill takes estimating. Our Stape pricing guide shows the assumption we use.

Source: Stape pricing page, checked October 2026.

The free option

8. Shopify's Google and Meta apps: the free starting point

Our take. Before paying for anything, check what Shopify's own channels do. The Google & YouTube channel adds Google's GA4 tag to your store, and the Facebook & Instagram channel sends purchases to Meta through the Conversions API at its Enhanced or Maximum data-sharing level. Neither is server-side for GA4, and neither does anything for Klaviyo.

Skip it if you switched to Littledata because browser-based GA4 was missing orders.

How it works, pricing, strengths and limitations
Best for
Stores that need GA4 and Meta set up correctly and don't rely on Klaviyo abandonment flows.
How it works
Shopify's GA4 guide adds GA4 tags through the Google & YouTube channel. Meta's data-sharing levels are in Shopify's guide to Meta data sharing.
Pricing (October 2026)
Free.
Strengths
No cost, built by the platforms themselves.
Limitations
GA4 runs on a browser tag, so ad blockers and consent choices affect it; the purchase is the only server-side event to Meta; no Klaviyo help.

What each alternative costs at your order volume

Monthly list prices, billed monthly, for a store sending events to Meta, Google Ads and Klaviyo:

Monthly ordersLittledataUpstack SignalElevarAimerceTrackBee ($100 average order)
1,000$199 (Scale)$149$650 (Advanced, for Klaviyo)$299 (Essential)$199 (Pro)
5,000$544 (Scale)$399$650 (Advanced)$499 (Growth)$449 (Scale)
10,000$844 (Scale)$399$650 (Advanced)$499 (Growth)$824 (Scale)
30,000$1,590 (Plus)$1,199$1,250 (Premium)$1,499 (Growth)$2,324 (Scale)

Littledata at 1,000 orders uses Scale, since Flex would be $350 and Persistent ID starts on Scale; at 10,000, Scale plus overage is cheaper than Plus at $990. Littledata's annual billing takes 20% off the whole bill, overage included, which brings these to $159, $435, $675 and $1,272. TrackBee's figures assume a $100 average order, so 1,000 orders is $100K in tracked revenue; double the order value and its bill roughly doubles. Elevar without Klaviyo would be cheaper at 1,000 orders: Core is $225. WeTracked is $149 at 1,000 orders and $249 at 5,000, then quoted. Analyzify and Stape aren't in the table because their price doesn't include building your tracking.

When to stay on Littledata

Littledata is still the right tool if:

  • GA4 is where you make decisions. Server-side GA4 with Session Enrichment cuts Direct and Unassigned revenue, and you can set the source and medium for Point of Sale, TikTok Shop, Amazon and draft orders. Upstack doesn't send to GA4 at all.
  • You run subscriptions on Recharge. Recharge is one of its standard destinations, and reviewers single out its subscription reporting.
  • You feed Segment. Littledata has offered a Shopify source for Segment since 2019, and Scale includes the Segment destination.
  • You're between about 570 and 3,000 orders a month. Scale costs $199 to $424 a month in that range, with everything on its list included.

If that's you, check whether annual billing at 20% off saves more than switching would, and stay.

How to switch from Littledata

  1. List what Littledata sends today. Note each destination, the events and any Event Editor customizations, so you can confirm the new tool sends the same.
  2. Decide who owns GA4. If your new tool doesn't send to GA4, keep Littledata for GA4 alone, or move GA4 to Elevar, TrackBee, Analyzify or Shopify's Google channel before you uninstall.
  3. Run the new tool on one destination first. Check its events in each platform's test tools, such as Test Events in Meta Events Manager, before going live.
  4. Move one destination at a time. Meta deduplicates a browser event and a server event only when they share an event name and event ID; two tools sending the same purchase server-side are counted twice. Turn off Littledata's Meta destination in the same session you turn on the new one.
  5. Watch your numbers for two weeks. Compare purchases in each platform with Shopify's orders, and Klaviyo flow entries with the two weeks before.
  6. Uninstall Littledata. Remove the app and check Settings > Customer events in Shopify for any leftover pixel. Billing runs every 30 days through Shopify, so time it to your cycle.

Our guide to Meta event duplication on Shopify lists the checks.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Littledata?

It depends on why you're leaving. To keep GA4, Elevar or TrackBee, or Analyzify if you want GTM. For Meta and Klaviyo with identity across devices, Upstack Signal. For the cheapest paid app, WeTracked. If you only need GA4 tags and Meta purchases, start with Shopify's free apps.

Is there a cheaper alternative to Littledata?

At most volumes, yes. At 1,000 orders a month Littledata Scale is $199. WeTracked Business is $149 and Upstack Signal $149, though neither sends to GA4. At 10,000 orders Littledata is $844 on Scale, against $650 for Elevar Advanced and $399 for Upstack Signal. Under about 570 orders, Littledata's own Flex plan is hard to beat.

What are Littledata's main competitors?

Shopify server-side tracking apps: Elevar, TrackBee, Aimerce, WeTracked and Upstack Signal. For teams that want Google Tag Manager, Analyzify and Stape.

Which Littledata alternatives send to GA4?

Elevar, TrackBee and Analyzify send to GA4, and Stape does if you build the tag. Shopify's Google & YouTube channel adds GA4 through Google's browser tag. Upstack Signal, Aimerce and WeTracked don't list GA4.

Does Littledata have a free trial?

Yes. Every plan has a 30-day free trial, capped at 500 orders on Flex, 10,000 on Scale and 20,000 on Plus, per its plans page.

Can I run Littledata and another tool together?

Yes, if each one owns different destinations. A common setup keeps Littledata for GA4 and moves Meta and Klaviyo to another tool. Just don't let two tools send the same purchase to the same platform, or it's counted twice.
