What Upstack sends

Every event reaches your warehouse resolved and unsampled. Captured on the server, resolved to a person, then sent.

In: from Shopify1 of 12 sources
  • order_idShopify order and checkout token
  • email / phonecustomer contact from checkout
  • customer_idShopify customer record, if they have one
  • line_itemsproducts, variants and quantities
  • total / subtotal / discountorder economics

Storefront events from the Upstack Pixel, orders directly from Shopify.

  • IdentityMatched against a 750M+ device graph, so a phone browse and a desktop checkout resolve to one customer.
  • customer_typeNew or returning, resolved before send.
  • DeduplicationStable event IDs, so re-runs and backfills do not double rows.
  • Bot and fraud filteringFiltered before load, with the filter decision recorded.

About Your warehouse

What lands in the warehouse decides what you can ask of it.

Upstack lands the same identity-resolved event stream that feeds your ad platforms: full fidelity, nothing sampled, with a stable event ID and a resolved person ID on every row. That means channel reporting and warehouse analysis are describing the same events, and any number in any report can be reconstructed rather than taken on trust.

What your warehouse is

Your warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift) is where analysis happens when the questions outgrow a dashboard.

What lands there decides what you can ask. A resolved, full-fidelity event stream lets you reconcile channel reporting against the orders that actually happened.

How your warehouse works

A cloud warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift) stores tabular data and executes SQL over it at scale, separating storage from compute so large scans stay affordable. Data arrives through batch loads or streaming inserts, lands in raw tables, and is usually transformed into modeled tables downstream. What you can ask is bounded by what was loaded: a column that was never ingested cannot be recovered later, and an aggregate cannot be un-aggregated.

What you can do with it

Three jobs this connector does inside your warehouse.

01

One resolved event stream

The same identity-resolved events that reach your ad platforms land in BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift, so the warehouse and the channel reporting are describing the same thing.

02

Nothing sampled

Full-fidelity events rather than an aggregate or a sample, so you can reconstruct any number in any report rather than taking it on trust.

03

Your questions, not ours

Once the resolved stream is in your warehouse, the analysis is no longer limited by what a dashboard was built to show.

Pre-built connectors

12 sources connect to your warehouse. Whichever of these you run, your warehouse is one switch away.

FAQ

Your warehouse integration questions.

What does Upstack send to your warehouse?

A clean, resolved event stream into BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift: the same data your dashboards run on.

How do I check that events are reaching your warehouse?

Query the events table directly: count distinct resolved person IDs against count distinct sessions, and compare the ratio to what your analytics reports.

Which plans include the warehouse integration?

Warehouse export ships with the Attribution plan and above.

Which sources can send events to your warehouse?

12 sources: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Checkout Champ, Recharge, Custom stack, Funnelish, Lasso Commerce, Phoenix Technologies, Skio, Loop Subscriptions and Stripe. Each one has its own pre-built connector.

Will Upstack slow down my store?

Upstack’s own pixel loads asynchronously and fails silently, so it doesn’t hold up your pages. What each destination adds depends on its Tracking Method. The default, Browser + Server, loads that platform’s own tag on your store, in place of the copy you would otherwise install yourself, and also sends the same events from Upstack’s servers. Choose Server for any destination that offers it and its tag never loads, while its events still arrive from Upstack’s servers.
